Tri Gas & Oil supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Look for the pink propane truck
In April, 2008, Tri Gas & Oil launched a major, regional fundraising initiative to help end breast cancer with its Driven to Find a Cure campaign. With every gallon of propane fuel delivered from our pink ‘Driven to Find a Cure’ truck, Tri Gas & Oil will make a donation to the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Over $80,000 donated to end breast cancer
Since the ‘Driven to Find a Cure’ campaign began, Tri Gas & Oil has donated more than $80,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We are proud of our employees who have embraced this effort and contributed their time and enthusiasm in the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to our generous customers who have aided this effort as well.
About Komen Maryland
Susan G. Komen (www.komen.org) is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Komen was founded in 1982 by Nancy G. Brinker, who promised her sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would end the disease that claimed Suzy’s life. Komen Maryland is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. Through events like the Race for the Cure®, Komen Maryland has invested nearly $39 million in community breast health programs in Maryland (with $4.2 million on the Eastern Shore alone) and has helped contribute to the more than $920 million invested globally in research.
